Wow!! Qué rápido pasa el tiempo!! Me acabo de dar cuenta que hace una semana no habia actualizado mi blog. He estado trabajando en par de proyectitos que luego les mostraré. Mi hermano se casa y estoy ayudándo a su novia con unas cajitas y unas tarjetitas que aun no les muestro pues están a medio hacer. También estoy haciendo las invitaciones para el cumpleaños de una amiga y los "party favors" del cumpleaños de la nena de otra amiga. Todo esto lo tengo que entregar antes de dos semanas por lo que casi no he tenido tiempo ni para mirar para el lado.

Aquí estoy al son del concierto de Celine Dionn en Las Vegas. Aun no puedo creer que estuve frente a la puerta de entrada en la tiquetería y mi marido no quizo entrar a verlo .... ahora, luego que lo vio por poco se muere, hasta perdón me pidió jajajajaja!!!!! Gracias a Dios que están los DVD's, esa es tremenda producción ya tengo el DVD quemado. Se los recomiendo.

Bueno, pero de vuelta aquí. Hoy decidí que iba a sacar un ratito para divertirme y crear algo fuera de los compromisos que tengo. Esta vez no usé stamps, pero con el programa de la Cricut hice el patrón de una carterita con el cart de Mickey & Friends. Ese cartridge tiene muchos goodies bien chulitos, y como tengo mi programita pues decidí ponerlo a trabajar. Usé Cardstock negro y scraps de cardstock en rojo y blanco. El mensaje lo saqué del cart Beyond Birthdays. Cuando compré este cart no me gustaba mucho pero resultó ser bien versátil y le he sacado mucho partido. La inspiración para esta tarjetita la saqué del blog de Beatriz Jennings. Sus trabajos me gustan mucho y ofrece muchas ideas para trabajitos con la Cricut.

WOW!! Times flies...it's been a week since my last post. I want to welcome all my new sisters of SBS10. Now we are complete and we can continue having fun with a bigger family. This past week I have been working in a few projects I will show you later. My brother's wedding is in two weeks and I am helping his fiancé with some details and cards for the wedding. Also, I am making the invitations for a girlfriend's birthday party and the party favors for another girlfriend's daughter birthday. All of this is due in the next two weeks, so I am pretty busy right now.

As I work, I am listening to Celine's Dionn concert in Las Vegas...A New Day. What a great concert!!! I still can't believe I was standing right in front of the ticket center at the hotel and my DH didn't wanted to see the show... so I missed it.....uffff!!! Now that he saw it he was all gloomy for what he did....well too late. Thank God for the DVD's, mine is on fire, I have seen it like 20 times jajaja!!!!

Anyway, back to my project. I decided to take a break tonight and create something new. Sorry sisters, but this one has no stamping I decided to create a card using the Cricut and with the help of the Cricut design Studio I made this bag shaped card. I used black c.s. and scraps of white and red c.s. For the card I used Mickey and Friends cart and the message is from Beyond Birthdays. I also used prima flowers and rhinestines to add some bling. I got my inspiration fom Beatriz Jennings. I love her work, specially the uses she gives to the Cricut.

Celebrando con retazos....Celebrating with scraps

Sigo con mis tarjetas utilizando solo retazos de papel. Esta tarjetita la hice esta mañana al levantarme, hoy fue uno de esos días en los que me levanté bien tempranito con muchos ánimos de embelequear. Ya la pila de scraps que saqué para obligarme a trabajar con ellos ha bajado alguito, aun así me queda bastante camino para recorrer...y cuando termine de seguro voy a tener que volver a empezar . Para mi este ha sido un verdadero reto pues me canso de trabajar con papeles que ya he utilizado, peeeero, hay que disciplinarse.

I keep working with cards made with scraps of paper. This morning was one of those in which I wake up very early full of energy and motivated to do what I like most, hang out in my SB room. My scrap pile has diminished a little, although I still have a lot to work before depleting it completely...and then I will have to start all over again . For me this has been a REAL CHALLENGE, I tend to get bore easily and using the same papers is not an exception. But, I have to discipline myself.....

CREMORA LA REVOLTOSA

Este es un LO digital que hice de práctica para ir acostumbándome a trabajar con los layers. He decidido poco a poco ir aprendiendo acerca del SB digital. Este es un mundo totalmente diferente al SB tradicional, pero no por eso deja de ser fascinante.

La chica de la foto es la gran Cremora. No por ser gata deja de tener su "personalidad" muy definida. Ella tiene cada una de las características que dice el LO y mucho más. Es extremadamente tímida con las personas que no conoce, pero cuando estamos solas definitivamente reclama su atención y soy esclava de darle sus mimos. A diferencia de mi otra gatita Sacha, la cual luego les mostraré, esta chica se la pasa buscando que la soben. Son dos animalitos muy diferentes que han llegado a aprender a vivir juntas y se la pasan el dia jugando y correteando por la casa. Miguel y yo somos esclavos de estas dos niñas, como les decimos...porque tu nunca eres dueño del gato, el gato te posee a ti.

This is a simple digital LO I just made to practice how to use layers in Adobe Photoshop. I am starting to learn about digital SB. ALthough is very different than the tradicional one, I find it very interesting and useful.

The "girl" in the photo is my cat Cremora. She has an unique "personality". The Tag in the LO means Chubby, overeater, fussy, sleepyhead. She is all that and then something more....ahhh, but I do love her. She is very shy with new people, but when we are alone she claims all the attention for herself. She likes to be fondle and when I don't pay her attention she yells like a maniac. My other cat which I will introduce to you later is very different, she is more sociable with people but doesn't like to be touched a lot and hardly "speaks". They have learn to live together and when they are not sleeping they are playing and running all over the apartment. We are slaves to this two animals as I once read....."You never own a cat, a cat own's you" ;)

Esta tarjeta que tambien hice utilizando el sketch challenge de Beate está inspirada en Cremora, mi gata regordeta. Para la tarjeta utilizé un stamp de TAC, Cat's Meow y un stamp de fondos de florecitas de TAC tambien. Usé los papeles 6x6 de la colección Romani de BG. El stamp es de Cat's Meow de TAC. La palabra "cherish" es de Fancy Pants y las florecitas son de Prima. El gatito lo pinté con acuarelas y despues recorté la imagen.

Cremora was the inspiration for this new card which I also made using this week Beate's sketch challenge. The stamp is Cat's Meow from TAC, as the floral background in the circle. The word cherish is from Fancy Pants and the flowers are Prima. I used the 6x6 pad of BG Romani Collection. I watercolored the cat image, then paperpieced it and placed it over the tag with 3D tape. I need more practice with coloring my stamps but I am rather pleased with the actual outcome.

True Love

En lugar de estar limpiando, hoy he estado jugando con el sketch challenge de Beates que sale todos los viernes, ya mañana me ocuparé de la limpieza . Aquí van encontrar el reto de esta semana. Una vez más el tema es el amorrrrr y volví a usar rosado. Para esta tarjeta usé c.s. Bazzil, y el papel es Instill de la colección Infuse de BG, usé la libreta en tamaño 6X6. Estas libretitas de BG me encantan porque son ideales para las tarjetas. Y el diseño del papel está a escala del tamaño por lo que no se pierde la perspectiva del diseño al cortar los pedazos pequeños. El stamp es de Fancy Pants 12x12 From The Garden.

Instead of cleaning the house, I have been playing with this weekend Beate's sketch challenge , tomorrow I am going to pay for this . This is the first time I participate in a card challenge and I think I am going to become a regular every week. I have my scrapbooking a little neglected cause I love cardmaking. Also I have been working on a Party Favor swap.

For this card I used Bazzil c.s. and the paper is Instill from the BG Infuse collection . I used the 6x6 pad which I love for cardmaking because the design scale is reduced to fit the paper. The stamp is From the Garden, Fancy Pants 12x12 acrylic stamp.

Para esta tarjeta usé como inspiración el Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge que descubrí en el blog de Kimmie. Hasta el momento no he participado en este tipo de challenge, estoy considerarlo hacerlo para obligarme a trabajar más y continuar mejorando. Para la tarjeta usé cardstock Bazzil y un scrap de papel que tenía guardado desde hace un año, es de los primeros papeles que compré. El stamp es de un set de Autumn Leaves de Rhona Farrel.

This card was inspired by a post from Kimmie. Up to this moment I have not participated in any card challenge, but this year I am going to do it. For this card I used Bazzil cardstock and a scrap of one of the very first papers I bought about a year ago when I started in this hobby. The stamp is from an Autumn Leaves set design by Rhona Farrel.

Sisterhood of the Blogger Stamper SBS10

I have not introduced myself properly....bad, bad, bad That doesn't mean I have not visited your blogs. I see how talented all of you are. Can't wait to have more sisters in the group and start participating in challenges and other activities.

I am an accountant who lives in Puerto Rico, a tiny island in the Caribbean full of friendly people. I live with my dear husband Miguel and my two cats Sacha and Cremora. They are the love of my live, and hopefully I am theirs LOL!!!!

I want to share two of my favorites pics taken at Old San Juan. We may be a tiny island....buuuut we do have great beaches, lots of mountains and a great rain forest.

Sigo con las tarjetitas de Valentines. Como hice una resolución de usar solo retazos de papeles pues estoy haciendo las tarjetas usando estos colores. La verdad es que definitivamente estos no son mis tonos favoritos, las que me conocen saben que me gustan las tonalidades brillantes. Pero, esta es una buena forma de obligarme a trabajar con colores diferentes a los que usualmente uso en mis tarjetas. OK.....lo admito....esta si que fue una resolución que duró poco LOL!!!! Mi próxima tarjeta va a ser en tonalidades brillantes...creo que pronto alguien va a recibir una caja llena de retazos

Here is another valentine card. Since I made a resolution of using only scraps of paper for my next creations I am using these colors for today's card. I like much much better bright colors, they are more compatible with my personality. But, this is a good way of making myself use those colors I usually avoid in my cards. Still....I think my next card is going to be very bright and happy. OK, I admit it......I can't keep THIS resolution LOL!!! I guess somebody is going to receive a box full of scraps soon...

Uff!! Me parecía que nunca me iba a llegar la musa. Hoy no me he sentido bien pero decidí dedicar un rato a ver si me salía aunque fuera una tarjetita. Las navidades me dejaron secas las ideas.

El día de los enamorados nunca ha sido mi festividad favorita. Sin embargo, cualquier ocasión es buena para sentarme a jugar. Esta tarjeta es mi primer intento en usar el nuevo programa Cricut Design Studio. Pensé que jamás me saldría pero al fin luego de par de horas y varios cardstocks dañados logré hacerla.

WOW, I thought my muse had abandoned me forever!!! Christmas left me without ideas. Today I decided it was time to create something after a few weeks of time out, after all, now I have a new blog and I have to maintain it Valentine has never been my favorite holiday, but I guess any ocassion is good to create a card. I wanted to try my new program Cricut Design Studio for this card. Soooo, after a few hours and a few cardstocks , here is my first valentine card. I also used the Heart set of Inque Boutique.

Bienvenidas a Mi Rincón de Papel. Este nuevo año acepté el reto de crear mi blog así que aqui estoy, tratando de crear mi primera entrada

¿Y porqué mi rincón de papel?? Porque cuando uno habla de un rincón especial automáticamente vienen sentimientos de tranquilidad, paz, felicidad y armonía. Eso es lo que yo siento cada vez que me siento a crear y a compartir con mis amigas.

Yo no soy experta en este asunto de los blogs, pero si tengo mucho interés en aprender y en compartir lo poco o mucho que vaya aprendiendo de este maravilloso hobby que se llama scrapbook. Hace ya un año y medio que estoy enviciada...si, porque esto es un vicio y definitivamente cada día me gusta más. He conocido a personas maravillosas y he adquirido muy buenas amistades. Así que aqui estoy, frente a la computadora con una tijera en mano lista para cortar las ansiedades y tornarlas en creaciones inspiradas por el amor y la amistad aquí..... en Mi Rincón de Papel.....

Hi, welcome to Mi Rincón de Papel "My Paper Corner". This year I decided to take the challenge of having my own blog, so here I am trying not to make a fool of myself...jaja!!!

Why I named my Blog Mi Rincón de Papel? Because when you think about a special corner it evokes feelings of hapiness and peace. That's how I feel each time I sit here to create and talk with my friends.

I may not be an expert at this blog business, but I promise I will do my best to share my work and my knowledge because in my experience is the best way to become an expert at what we do. So here I am, in front of my computer with my scissors at hand ready to cut out all my stress and turn it into works of art inspired by love and friedship.
