SEASON'S GREETING FRAME

En estos días he estado trabajando en este marquito que Miguel me pidió para adornar nuestra casa. Estoy bastante complacida con el resultado. Use el file de North Pole de My Scrapchick, tan pronto vi ese file me enamoré de el. Poco a poco estoy redactando un tutorial donde explico varios detalles de cómo fui montando las piezas y varios consejos de cositas que hago que por lo menos a mi me gusta hacer para que mis piezas se vean como yo quiero.

Over the last couple of days I have been working on this frame that my DH asked me to make to decorate our home. I am preparing a simple tutorial in which I will explain a few tricks and things I always do when mounting my images. I used the North Pole file from My Scrapchick. I fell in love with that file as soon as I saw it.

Me siento cansada pero feliz porque he estado todo el día haciendo lo que me gusta. Me he dedicado a seguir con los preparativos navideños. En esta ocasión les quiero mostrar una tarjeta que prepare simulando adornos navideños. Me encantó como quedó con todas las capas y costuritas.

I feel tired but happy because I have worked all day long making Christmas gifts. I want to share with you today this card. I love the way it turned out with all the layers and stitching. I still don’t know who is going to receive it, but this one will be put aside for the very special people in my life.

En estos días he estado bien activa porque estoy participando de varios retos y haciendo par de cositas que tengo en mente. Para el reto de hoy en Papertrey, hay que hacer una tarjeta utilizando cualquiera de los colores combos que ellos tienen disponibles. Yo escogí el de Betsy, me encanto para hacer una tarjetita de bodas. Decidí hacer la tarjeta de bodas para participar también en el Challenge de Cardvarks donde te retan a crear tarjetas de boda. El premio seria salir publicado en la revista Cards…suena interesante verdad?

Aquí esta mi tarjeta, para la misma utilicé un stamp digital de Pink Peticoat, glitter, rhinestones, cintas, pintura acrílica botones mi Cricut con un file de SCAL y por supuesto mis nuevos Copics.

WOW! These past days have been very active since I’ve been participating in Papertrey anniversary challenges. Today’s challenge is to create a card using one of the color combos available. I decided to use for this card Betsy’s combo. I liked it a lot for the wedding card I was planning to make. I am also posting this card over at the Cardvarks challenges which consist of making a wedding card..The prize? Being published in Cards magazine isn’t that enough motivation??

So here is my card, to make the base and frame I used my Cricut, and the image is a digital stamp from Pink Petticoat. I also used glitter, rhinestones, buttons, ribbon and acrylic paint.

Scrapper's Place Challenge

Ayer estuve trabajando par de cositas en casa de una amiga y prepare esta tarjeta para el reto de Scrapper's Place. El mismo consistía en usar fieltro y brillo. Me parece una postal bien divertida para regalar a uno de los chicos de mi vida.

I was playing yesterday and made this card for a Challenger hosted by a local scrapbook store. The challenge consisted of using felt and glitter. I find the card very bright and fun.






A la tarde cuando llegue a casa decidí jugar con los pedazos de papel que me sobraron de la tarjeta y prepare estas dos mientras veía televisión con mi esposo. Ambas me gustan mucho pues son bien coloridas y alegres.

When I arrived at home, I decided to play with the scraps from the first card and made this other two which I find super cute.






Ya se esta acabando el fin de semana largo...¡que bien me vino! Ya mismo me tengo que ir a vestir pues vamos al teatro a ver un concierto de navidad, el primer concierto de la época al que voy a ir wohooo!! Espero al regreso poder preparar o por lo menos comenzar a preparar algo para mostrarles mañana.

It’s sad that my long weekend is ending, but I really enjoyed it and that is the most important thing. In a few minutes I have to go and get ready since we are going to our first Christmas concert this year. I hope to have energy to work on a project when we get home tonight.

CHRISTMAS IN THE OLD COUNTRY CHALLENGE

El sábado hice esta tarjetita para el challenge de navidad en el Viejo mundo de Moxie Fab. Como no tenia un stamp ni una imagen para la Cricut de una Matryushka me puse a buscar imágenes en el Internet hasta que di con una que me era útil. Lo que hice fue imprimirla en papel de diseño y fui haciendo paper piecing de cada parte de la muñequita. Lo único que deje de la imagen original fue la carita ya que la encontré súper linda. Después conseguí varias imágenes más y con una de ellas logre hacer un stamp digital así que ya tengo mis muñecas para futuras ocasiones. Espero que les guste!

I made this card for the Christmas in the old country Challenge at Moxie Fab. I didn’t have a Matryushka doll image I could use so I Google for images and found one I loved and serve me as a digital stamp. I printed it on design paper and paper pierce it. The only thing I left intact was the doll face which I find so cute!

Hoy hice estar tarjetita para el challenge de Moxie Fab. No es exactamente mi estilo, pero me quise aventurar con esta combinacion de colores que aunque encuentro linda casi nunca utilizo. Ahora voy a ver TV con Miguel un rato antes de la Pelea de Cotto.

MY FIRST VINTAGE CARD

Desde hace tiempito estaba ansiando hacer una tarjeta con un "Vintage Santa" asi que aqui les comparto mi primera tarjetita antigua. Esta tarjeta la hice para el reto #24 del blog Winter Wonderland.

Hoy se ha estado celebrando el día mundial de la tarjetearía. Me he escapado de los quehaceres de la casa para sentarme ha preparar aunque sea uno de los miles de retos y actividades que hay hoy circulando por todo el internet. Aquí les muestro una mini tarjeta que hice para el reto de la compañía Unity en Splitcoaststampers. Este tamaño de tarjeta está gustando cada vez más. ¡Bueno, espero que se sigan divirtiendo!

A QUICK POST

Hola chicas. He estado perdida estos pasados días. Estruve trabajando en unos mini álbumes que les mostraré más adelante. Por el momento les cuento que me estoy entreteniendo muchísimo tomando un curso básico de edición de fotografías con Jessica Sprague. En lo poco que llevo, he aprendido mucho. Aquí les muestro un ejemplo de la foto que le tomé a una de las tarjetitas que preparé para mi papá y mi suegro para el día de los padres.

Ok OK se que me falta mucho para llegar a ser una buena fotógrafa aficionada, pero vamos!! por algo se empieza. Yo estoy super animada a seguir aprendiendo técnicas para editar fotos. Pienso que muchas veces por más que me esmero en hacer un Lay Out super lindo, cuando llego a la parte de las fotos me desanima porque carecen de vida, por eso es que nunca le presto mucha atención al SB. Creo que soy un poco perfeccionista y en muchas ocasiones me exijo demasiado a mi misma. Así que estoy descubriendo un nuevo mundo que estaba a mi dispocisión pero que nunca le había prestado la debida atención.

Bueno y para no marearlas más, las dejo con la segunda tarjeta de padres que hice. Las quería mostrar antes, pero no encontraba el cable de mi cámara que mal me va!!!

Vive, rie, ama... me encanta esa frase. Hoy hice esta tarjetita pensando en como a veces nos dejamos consumir por las preocupaciones y dejamos de ver las grandes bendiciones que nos rodean. AL comenzar una nueva semana que sin duda estará llena de retos y mucho trabajo, decidí crear algo alegre que me brinde ánimos y me provoque una sonrisa.

I love that quote. I made this card thinking how we sometimes forget to see and enjoy our blessings while we are consumed with our daily routines. At the beginning of a new week, I wanted to create something that evokes happiness and brings me energy and a smile.

EXITO EN TU NUEVA AVENTURA

Terminé esta tarjeta que me pidieron para un compañero de trabajo que se va para comenzar otra etapa en su carerra profesional. Poco a poco le he ido cojiendo el piso a usar Photoshop para acomodar el texto en mis tarjetas y definitivamente es una herramienta que cada día me gusta más.

Traté de usar el estilo de Nancy en el uso del círculo y las franjas de papel. Me encanta el estilo de esta chica, y aunque esta es una tarjeta bien varonil creo que logré adaptar el uso del círculo de una manera exitosa...... o por lo menos a mi me gustó ;)

I made this card for a co-worker who is leaving us to start a new phase in his professional career. I used Photoshop to create the text in the card. I AM developing a certain passion for this tool ;)

I inspire myself with Nancy’s style in her use of circles and paper strips. Although it is a masculine card I love the results… At least I like it ;)

Anoche hice la tarjetita del Make a Card Monday de Kristina Werner. Me encanta su blog, sobre todo sus videos que son super divertidos y con una musica que me pone a bailar. Ultimamente estoy obsecionada con las tarjetitas 3X3. Me encantan para notitas de agradecimiento. Creo que es el tamaño perfecto para una notita rápida y simple. Despues de todo lo que quiero es dar gracias, no escribir una obra literaria.

Para variar ;) utilizé mi Cricut y el programa SCAL para cortar las letras. Usé glitter y el Heat & Stick powder de SU. Este producto es un éxito para pegar glitter, me encanta!! Desde que lo descubrí ahora le quiero poner glitter a todo :()

Hi!! Last night I finished this little card following the Make a Card Monday tutorial of Kristina Werner. I love her site and the fun videos with music that makes me dance in my chair. I am hooked with 3X3 cards. I think they are the perfect size quick thank you note. After all I just want to give thanks, not write a short story ;) As usual, I used my Cricut and SCAL to cut the letters. I used glitter and the heat and stick powder from SU. I love this product, since I discover it I want to use glitter all the time :() Well, I hope you have a great day!!!
