Live for today ;)

Hola,

HI,

Today we are celebrating WCMD. I have taken a break from my house duties to participate in Unity’s challenge at Splitcoaststampers. It’s a mini card of 3X3. Lately I have been working a lot on these mini cards and I am loving them more each time. Have a good night and keep having fun!

This is the card I made for today:)

CAMINALO!!....

When I was thinking about the card I wanted to make, I thought that since I am representing my beautiful Island of Puerto Rico I might as well make a card that had all the warmth and beauty of my Caribbean Paradise. So I made a card with flowers because they remind me of our great Rain Forest. I dedicate this post to my island…to my people, who are suffering with the rest of the world the effects of a weak economy and the devaluation of many moral values, but at the same time still have a great amount of love and compassion. The message in the card is a paragraph of a popular song that says “If I hadn’t been born in this island, I would have many regrets of not having been born here”. The song is all about the love for the country in which you were born, that song applies to each one of us and it has a rhythm that makes you want to start dancing right away. So this card is for my family, my friends, my people and for the rest of the world.
Enjoy!!

...NOW I LIKE IT ;)

Hola!!

Hi!!

It's been a long time since my last post. But there is no better moment to start again but the celebration of mother's day. Last night I was making a card and after finishing it I wasn't completely sure that I liked it. After overcoming the temptation of throwing it away, I went to sleep with the purpose of fix it in the morning. I wake up very early and draw a heart with wings in Inkscape and create a file to cut the heart with my Cricut. I love the results!!!

Aquí está la tarjeta original...
Here is the original card...

Y aqui está la misma tarjeta arreglada...
And here is the same card enhanced...

Well, I hope you liked it. I will come back tomorrow with more cards for Mother's day.

Reto de Nancy ;) Nancy's Challenge

Hola!!

It’s been a few days since my last post. I had a few situations that required my immediate attention. Anyhow, I managed to work on a few things I want to share with you today.

The first one is a card I created for Nancy’s workshop and challenge. I love her style!! The way she uses circles and flowers, two of my favorite shapes is amazing. That’s why when I read her post I couldn’t resist the urge to grab my papers, and complete the workshop.

Thanks Nancy!! Hope you like my card.

Recipe:

BG design paper - Offbeat collection (loooove this collection)
Prima flowers
SU! cardstock in kiwi kiss and whisper white
Stazon ink - timber brown
misc: rhinestones, buttom, safety pins, floss, staples & Liquid pearls.

The second one is also inpired by this post on Nancy's blog. Nancy, can you feel I'm stalking you?? ;) A friend asked me for a gift card holder for a sweet 15 birthday party. Since I didn't have much time, I decided to adapt the card as a holder. I love the results!!

Recipe:
SU! cardstock - whisper white
Dream Steet patterned paper can't remember the collection
Inkadinkadoo butterfly stamp
Zig markers
Pearl Glimmer Mist
Crackle medium for the butterfly
SU! flower punch
Misc: Buttom; staples, floss

I made this last ones with scraps I had on my table. I didn't put any sentiment so I can personalize it the moment I need to use it. I love making generic cards for my stash, it gives me more flexibility for their use.

Recipe:

This is all for now. Now off to make a few more challenges ;) and the laundry :( See you soon!!
