YOU COLOR MY WORLD

Hola!

Hi!!

A few week ago I came across this picture in Pinterest.  I knew immediately that I needed to make a card using it as a source of inspiration.  I went to my reader to look for a sketch to use as a starting point for my card.  I found it at Freshly Made Sketches.  I decided to use a file from SVG Cuts – Townhouse Window SVG Mini Pack and of course it was time to ink my new Paper Smooches Vogue Abode Set.  The file from SVG Cuts was one of the first I bought from that company and I hardly use it… but, Isn’t it great to have the necessary tools when you want to make a project?

This time I challenged myself to create a short video describing my creative process.  It’s my first video ever, so please be kind LOL!

For this year I have challenged myself to make a few videos, tutorials and share cut files created by me.  It’s time I give back a little of the wonderful things I have received from Blogland.

I hope you like my card and that you like the video as much as I do ;)

Aquí está la tarjeta completa!! / Here is the complete card!!

Hey everyone!

Welcome to a new challenge at Do You Stack Up?! This week is all aboutRIBBONS!!    We all have yards and yards of those yummy things in our stash.  So let’s take them out and give them some good use.

For this week we have four great sponsors:

 Winner's choice of 4 images

The StampingBoutique
 Winner's choice of 5 images

Dearie Dolls
 Winner's choice of 4 images

This week I got to play with an image from Dearie Dolls named Valentine Arbor.  Love this image because it requires to make a complete scene, and you know how much I love to do sponging with my Distress Inks!!  I also used watercolor and Prismacolor pencils to color the image.  This is my first experience with Prismacolors and I love these pencils!!  I see more colors added to my stash in a near future :)

I really don't know what is happening to my camera lately that is not giving me good quality photos.  Still I finally got one that looks relatively good.

Here is my card:

Thanks for your visit and for leaving me some love.
Hope you have a great day!!

ONE OF A KIND

Hola amiguitas!!

Hello blogger friends!!

Today’s card was inspired by Julie’s day 10 video on the CAS class I’ve been taking at Online Class.  I am loving this negative die cutting thing!!  It’s a great way to stretch our papers.  I used my digital cutter and prepare the file since I didn’t have a die with the proper dimension for this idea.
I hope you like it!!

MY FIRST KNK CREATION

Hola!!

Hi!
Over the last weekend  Ifinally was able to establish communication between my KNK cutter and the computer.   I started practicing with the pen to get acquaintance with the basic setups.  Yesterday I decided it was time to start playing with the blade and after wasting a few cardstocks I was able to cut this card set.  I made it to continue practicing for the Clean and Simple Cards class I am taking at the Online Classes site.  I am amazed at the quality of the cuts of this machine, even though I am still learning how to make the proper setups for each type of paper.  After I master paper, my next move is to cut felt and balsa wood.  So I will keep you updated on my progress with the machine.  For the moment here is my first set made with it.

Tools:
- KNK Maxx
- Stampin Up Polka Dot embossing plate
- Big Shot
- Square punch to make the banner end.

Misc. ingredients:
- Baker's twine from my stash.
- Mounting tape.
- Scraps of solid colors cardstock.

Hey everyone! Welcome to a new challenge at Do You Stack Up?! This week we want to Be Pinky!!  So grab a cup of your favorite hot drink and join us in the fun of creating some pink, cute & delicate fun project.

This week’s sponsor is:

The Stamps of Life - Winner's choice of  2 stamps sets

And here my project!!

Hola!

Hi!
I received a wonderful stamp set from The Stamps of Lifenamed Letters 2 Color.  Since a few months I never even looked at ABC’s stamp sets but now I am in love with them.  I have discovered that with only a nice word or letter can make a card beautiful.  This has taken me a few copy papers to practice, but what the heck!!  I buy them in Costco and they are cheap LOL!!!
Here is a mini cards set featuring Letters 2 Color.  Hope you like it and get some inspiration for your card.

Que tengan un hermoso día!!  /  Have a great day!!

DAY 2 ONE LAYER CARDS

Hola!!

Hi!!
I love these clean and simple cards!!  Not only they are super cute, they are also super-fast and  to make.  WOW!  I can’t believe what I have been missing while making all those complicated cards and projects.  But don’t get confused, my sense of simplicity is still there, I am only medicating it for a while ;)

Here the card I made this morning for the class.

See ya!!

Day 1 – Simple Sketches with Kristina

Hola!!

Hi!!
Today start the online class Clean & Simple Cards with Jennifer and Kristina.  Today’s post highlights simple card sketches and how to make a single layer card.  Here I how you the card I made following one of the sketches after viewing Kristina’s video.  When I saw the sneak peek for this class I knew it was for me.  I have a very complicated sense of what simple is, so hopefully this class will help me grab the sense of what a simple card must be ;)  One of my resolutions for this year is to make more clean and fun cards.  So with this in mind I decided to participate in this class, besides the fact that I love these events!!!
Here is my card:

I have a tip for today’s class.  I make my own Masking Paper with Aleene’s Tack it Over and Over and  cheap cardstock or copy paper (depending on how much I will use the mask).  This has the same results as the Masking Paper from Inkadinkado and saves me a few bucks.  Here is a photo of the mask I made for my card:

OK, now I have to go to work even though today is a holiday here in Puerto Rico.  We have a special project at the office so we have to work.  But first I needed to have my morning creative therapy.  Hope you have a wonderful Monday!!

Hugs,
