Aquí les dejo con un set bien sencillo que hice ayer en la tarde. Para el mismo utilicé papeles de Stamping Up y el Antique Background stamps de Hero arts.

Here is a quick card set I made yesterday. I used Stampin Up paper and the Antique Background stamps from Hero arts.
El viernes de la semana pasada Miguel y yo celebramos nuestro aniversario #11. Hoy les quiero enseñar la tarjetita que le hice para celebrar este evento.Como en todo matrimonio, ha habido momentos alegres, eventos tristes y muchas peleas.Pero en medio de todo eso, han existido siempre tres ingredientes bien importantes.El amor a Dios, respeto mutuo y mucho amor.
Last Friday Miguel (my hubby) and I celebrated our eleventh anniversary. Today I am showing you the card I made him.As in every marriage, there have been many happy moments, sad events and lots of fights.But in the middle of all that there are three main things that have remained constant.We love God, we respect each other and we feel and show tons of love.

La tarjeta tiene un “pop up” en el interior que logre haciendo par de dobleces en la tarjeta. /This is a Pop up card which I made with a few folds on the card base.

Para esta semana me tocó trabajar con una imagen de Prairie Fairy llamada "Gone Fishing". / This week I worked with the image Gone Fishing from Prairie Fairy.
Para colorear la misma utilicé mis Copics y Distress Inks usando la técnica de sponging para la grama, agua y el cielo. / To color it I used my Copics and my distress inks. I sponged the grass, water and sky.
El sentimiento de la tarjeta es tambien de Prairi Fairy el cual imprimí y luego le estampé un banner. Lo corté y luego le pasé clear embossing poder para que resaltara. / The sentiment is from Prairi Fairy too. I printed it and stamped a banner which I paper pieced and then added a coat of clear embossing powder.

Para esta semana me tocó trabajar con la imagen digital “Magazine” de Sassy Studio’s Design. / For this week I worked wit the digi stamps “Magazine” from Sassy Studio’s Design.
Aquí les muestro unos cuantos detalles de la tarjeta. /Here are a few details of the card.
Para la camisa usé un folder para repujado de Stampin Up al cual le aplique tinta rosada. Luego le pase Distress Ink en anaranjado para resaltar los colores. /For the shirt I used an embossing folder from SU with Pink ink and then I applied Distress Ink in Spiced Marmalade.
Para el pantalón usé polvo transparente y distress inks en Faded Jean para añadir color. También para la alfombra utilice el embossing plate de canvas de Paper Trey. / For the shorts I used clear embossing powder and distress inks in Faded Jean to color them. In addition, for the rug I used Paper Trey’s canvas embossing plate.
Para el piso utilice un folder de Sizzix y luego le aplique distress inks en Walnut Ink y Old Paper. / For the floor I used a Sizzix embossing plate and then sponged it with distress inks in Walnut Ink y Old Paper.
Finalmente para las costuras del verso use un glazed gel pen de Sakura el cual le da el efecto de repujado. / Finally for the sentiment’s faux switch I used a Sakura glazed gel pen which gives the lines an embossing effect.

Aquí les muestro la tarjetita que preparé para el reto de esta semana. Para mi fué un verdadero reto pues utilizar imágenes playeras con negro pues como que no estaba en mi listado de cosas posibles. Sin embargo, cuando abrimos nuestras mentes a nuevas posibilidades todo se puede hacer. El resultado me gustó, traté de simular una atardecer en la playa. Espero que les guste tanto como a mi!!
Here is my card for this week challenge. This one was not easy since working beach images in black was not in my list of possible things to do. Still, when we open our minds and try to do new things anything is possible. I tried to capture the beach at dawn. I love the results and hope you do too!!

One thing I want to say is that the books image is a desing of Nikki from Melonheadz. The original version of the stamp is a wonderful bible, but I altered it to serve as regular back to school books. Thanks Nikki for creating so many wonderful images and sharing them with all of us. may God bless you always ;)
Mi madre, a quien amo y admiro de una manera bien especial me pidió la semana pasada que le creara una tarjetita para celebrar el regreso a la escuela. Por poco me caigo al oir semejante petición pues ella sabe que siempre le tuve fobia y que para mi cada regreso a clases era una experiencia parecida al estar al borde de la muerte. Ni yo misma creo que finalmente terminé estudiando tanto, mis diplomas y título han sido uno de los más grandes logros de mis padres, y claro de muchas personas que los ayudaron a que yo llegara viva a la escuela superior.
Mami, a su corta edad de piiiiiiiiiiii... decidió abrir un blog a insistencias mias pues siendo una mujer tan brillante entiendo que aún tiene mucho que aportar a nuestra sociedad. Es así como nació su blog llamadoLo Que Tiene Valor, al cual te invito a visitar y leer. Sus reflexiones son cortas pero llenas de sabiduria y buen humor.
La tarjeta que me pidió y que comparto aquí con ustedes es para la entrada que publicó hoy relacionada al regreso a clases.
