UN FUERTE ABRAZO ;) A BIG HUG

Aqui estoy a las 4:30AM sin poder dormir. Estoy comenzando mis vacaciones enferma y dando vueltas en la cama pensando como solucionar ciertos asuntos relacionados al trabajo. Decidí levantarme y hacer algo que me despeje en lo que me vuelve el sueño. sto siempre me funciona. Así que terminé esta tarjetita que hice siguiendo el nuevo workshop de Nancy. A la verdad es que me encanta el estilo de ella. El cambio que hice fue que alteré las letras. Las pinté con acrílico, luego las etampé y les di color en ciertas areas. Luego utilizé Crackle Accents de Inkssentials para darles brillo y mayor dimension. No estoy segura si me gusta el resultado final pero por lo menos no está desastroso y me divertí en el proceso.

Here I am at 4:30AM unable to sleep. I can't believe I am starting my vacations sick as a dog. arrrghh!! Today I am going to the doctor because I refuse to spend my free time in bed thinking about work and how I can solve a few things there. Anyway, I decided to get up and make something here to clear my mind until I get sleepy again which always works for me. I finished this card following Nancy's new workshop. I love her style; it's so happy and bright. I altered the chipboard letters by painting them with acrylic paint, and then I stamped the flowers and colored some areas. To give them a glossy finish I used Crackle Accents from Inkssentials. I'm not sure like the way it turned out, but I had lots of fun. Thanks Nancy for this great workshop.

Hola!! ;) Hi!!

Esta semana fui sorprendida por mi amiguita Chris de SBS10. Ella me envio este sobre con una notita de agradecimiento y unas Bella's estampadas. Es increíble el efecto que tienen estos actos de bondad en una persona. Lo recibí fue el martes que fué cuando verifiqué el correo al llegar del trabajo. Si hubo un día en esta semana en que necesitaba algo así fue ese, en verdad me ayudó a terminar un dia amargo de una manera positiva. A esto le añado que cuando llegué Miguel había hecho algo de comer....WOW!!! Despues de todo, creo que el día terminó super bien. Recordé que quienes realmente importan son las personas que nos aman y que de esos tengo muchos en esta vida, los demás son instrumentos que Dios utiliza para ayudarnos a crecer y madurar espiritualmente.

I was surprised this week with a RAK from my sistah Chris. She sent me this envelope with a thank you note and some Bella’s Images. I think is great the enormous effect that a gesture of generosity like this one can have in one person. Last Thursday when I arrived at home and check the mail, I saw this envelope and it really turned a bitter day into something great. As a second surprised, my DH was expecting me with the dinner ready...WOW!! I guess that day was not so bad after all. I was reminded in a great and perfect way that there are people that like me, and love me and for them I am grateful.

Bueno, la cosa es que me había llegado un set de Inque el cual no había visto tinta, así que me decidí a usarlo. Este es el resultado. Espero que les guste!!

I made a commitment to create 20 Mother's Day cards for my co-workers. So, when I arrive home tonight, I was in the need to find my mojo weather I like it or no LOL!! I created this one from scratch, and the others will be a variation of some of the cards I have created before. I guess I will not sleep tomorrow finishing all 20 cards.... :()

Safari Night

Hola!!

Este es un clipboard alterado que le hice a una compañera de trabajo para una foto de una actividad donde el tema era de Safari. La tablita es de K&C, aunque despues de comprarla y gastar $10 me di cuenta de que tenía unas del mismo tamaño que había comprado en Officce Max a $1.75.....hablando de no tener las cosas organizadas que malllllll.....

Bueno, usé el stack de papeles All Dressed Up de DCWV. Tambien usé el background stamp Sanded de SU!. Las letras las corté con la Cricut haciendo uso de mi nuevo programa SCAL. Me encanta!!! Puedo cortar cualquier true type font que tenga en mi computadora.

Cada día me gusta más trabajar estas tablitas. Ahora voy a hacer una mia para colocarla en el escritorio. Esa es otra area que estoy reoganizando y redecorando. Ya que tengo que pasar tanto rato ahi, pues por lo menos que este linda ¿no creen??

This is a clipboard I made for one co-worker to display a photo of an activity she went with the Safari theme. We bought a K&C clipboard and after spending $10 in it I remembered I bought in the same size at Office Max for $1.75...talking about having my things organized LOL!!!

Anyway, I used the paper stack All Dressed Up of DCWV and the background stamp Sanded of SU! I cut the letters with my Cricut and using the program SCAL. I love this program because I can cut any true type font I have in my PC. That has opened a world of possibilities for my loved machine.

I really enjoy altering these clipboards. Now I think I’m going to make one for my desk at work. That’s another area I’m organizing and redecorating. Since I send so much time there I like to have it clean and pretty.

YA CASI TERMINO ; I'M ALMOST DONE

He estado perdida las pasadas semanas primero porque estaba super ajorada en el trabajo. Cuando la parte del trabajo se calmó, entonces decidí que era el momento de organizar mi cuarto de SB. Los pasados tres fines de semana han sido para organizar este cuarto de forma tal que yo sepa donde tengo todas mis cosas. Es increíble la cantidad de cositas que uno tiene y ni se acuerda cuando todo está desorganizado. He descubierto cantidad de papeles y embelishments que ni recuerdo cuando compré.

Aun me faltan unas unidades para la pared. En ellas estaré colocando los papeles y algunas otras cositas. Tambien unas tablillas para colocar mis álbumes y los libros que suelo utilizar con mayor frecuencia. Tambien me falta hacerle las faldas a las dos mesas para cubrir lo que está debajo. Con la misma tela le voy a hacer un forro a las dos Cricuts y al printer. De esta manera los protejo del polvo a la vez que sirven para que el cuarto de vea mas organizado y mejor decorado.
De más está decir lo bien que uno se siente cuando está trabajando organizadamente. Aún me falta bastante para llegar a tener un cuarto de revista como uno dice, pero definitivamente que todo el esfuerzo que he puesto en las pasadas semanas se nota y se siente divino!!!!

Aquí les muestro unas fotos de como esta el cuarto en estos momentos. Voy a ir retratando los cambios para ir teniendo una recolección de como ha ido cambiando mi rinconcito de papel. Ahora me puedo dedicar a trabajar pues me siento en un lugar cómodo y funcional. Me dio trabajo pero valió la pena!!!!!

Hi, I’ve been MIA. I had a heavy load at work and hardly had time for reading e-mails before getting to bed. Then, after the worst was over at work I decided it was about time to reorganize my working area. For the past three week I dedicated my time to organize and categorize things here. Its incredible how many things we have, I have found papers and embellishments that I don’t even remember having bought them.

I still have tons of work to do. But right now I feel happy with the results. At least I have an organized working area and I can actually find what I’m looking for. I will be taking pictures to maintain a record of the changes in my special corner. Here are some pics of how my room looks now. I was a lot of work but for sure was worth it.

Hace un mes no posteaba nada pues había estado super ajorada. Eso no significa que no haya estado trabajando en par de proyectitos, así que estaré posteando este fin de semana dos o tres cositas nuevas. Ya extrañaba actualizar mi blog y tambien pasear por el de mis compañeras blogueras. Este fin de semana me voy a poner al dia con eso.

Por el momento, quiero comaprtir una tarjetita que le hice a Chris, una chica que pertenece a SBS10 y a quien operaron recientemente. Las chicas decidimos enviarle tarjetitas para alegrar su ánimo y dejarle saber cuanto la apreciamos. Espero que les guste!!!

Wow!! It has been a month since my last post. That doesn't mean I have not been working with a few projects, just that I had to pick between working and surfing the internet. I hate when I have to make choices like this one!!!

During this weekend, I will be posting a few projects, but for the moment I want to share a card I made for Chris, one of the members of the SBS10. She is recuperating from a surgery and I want to let her know we missed her and she is in my prayers for a full recovery. I hope she likes it!!!!

Hola!!

Hoy me tomé el día por vacaciones para resolver par de asuntitos personales. Como llegué temprano a casa, me dió con hacerle una tarjetita a Miguel, para las que no lo saben, ese es el nombre de mi esposo. Bueno, la cosa es que en estos pasados meses Miguel ha estado trabajando arduamente incluyendo los fines de semana para poder ponernos al día en lo económico. Ya ustedes saben que la economía no está en sus mejores días y nosotros al igual que muchas personas hemos sentido el embate de la misma. Sin embargo no me puedo quejar pues Dios siempre ha provisto lo necesario y un poco más para que podamos disfrutar de los que nos gusta en una forma moderada.

Así que como me gustó tanto el sketch del challenge de Beate, decidí hacerle una tarjetita en el mismo formato para darle las gracias por su esfuezo y dejarle saber mi agradecimiento. Espero que les guste.

Hi!!

Today I took the day off at work to run some errands we had pending. Since I arrived early at home, I decided to make a card for Miguel, my hubbie. He has been working very hard including the weekends for the last months trying to catch up in the economical aspect of our lives. We all know that the economy is not at is best right now, and we had our share of it. Still, I am grateful to God because He always has provided us the necessary and a little more to enjoy what we love to do. The card was made to show my appreciation for his effort and to let him know that I am grateful for his sacrifice and what he is doing for us.

Since I liked so much Beate's sketch for this weekend challenge, I decided to use it for the card. I hope you like it!!!

Hoy hice esta tarjetita para el WSC40 del blog de Beate. Ella postea un challenge semanal para crear una tarjetita. Me parece una excelente herramienta para ir creando ese banco de tarjetas que tanto hace falta a la hora de necesitar una tarjetita para una ocasión de esas que aparecen de momento. Así que me propongo hacer este reto semanal y así ir acumulando mis tarjetitas.

Estoy super emocionada porque es la primera tarjetita que hago con los productos de SU! Hace como dos semanas que me convertí en demostradora de esta compañía porque me encantan sus productos. Tienen unos stamps bellos y la línea de embelisments es bien variada. El cardstock es grueso e ideal para la tarjetería.

I made today this card for Beate's Weekend Challenge. I like this challenge because is a great way to build a card bank and that way always have a card at hand when needed. I intend to participate in this challenge from now on and therefore never be caught without a card when I need it.

I am excited because also is the first card I made using the SU products from my Demo Kit. I joined the SU Family about two weeks ago and was waiting for the products to arrive. I like a lot this line, the stamps are very pretty and they have tons of great embellishments. Also, the cardstock is great for card making.

La imagen la pinté con acuarela y tambien pinté el papel en azul para resaltar la imagen. Aunque en la foto no se distingue, le pasé glitter al borde de la imagen.

I painted the image with watercolors and also painted the paper with blue to give more definition to the image. You cannot appreciated it in the photo, but I bordered the image with glitter pens.

CARTERITA CON BOLSILLOS ;) POCKET PURSE

Bueno, esta es una de las razones por las que estuve ausente la semana pasada. Estuve trabajando con mi versión del Carousel Notes Purse Project que Patty publicó en su blog. Ella usó para este proyecto unas notas circulares que vende SU junto con los sobres. Como no tenía este producto, decidí usacr mi Cricut (clarooo!!!) para crear los sobres y poder hacer esta carterita que encontré tan mona. Ahora solo me falta añadirle las fotos y lucirlo en mi casita!!! Solo me falta terminarle el brochecito del frente, pero no tengo los magnetos de BG. Ya se los compré a Scrappers Place, así que es cuetión de esperar a que me lleguen ;)).

One of the reasons I didn't wrote for an entire week is that I was working on my version of the Carousel Notes Purse Project that Patty published on her blog. I fell in love with this project the moment I saw it, and since I didn't had the Carousel Notes from SU! I made my own envelopes with the help of my Cricut (of course!!!). Thanks Patty for sharing this great project!! I had lots of fun stamping and sewing. Now I have to find the perfect photos and display it in my home. I still have not finished the front because I don't have the magnets. I already ordered them to Scrappers Place so it's only a matter of days before my Bag is finished and on display ;))

Hacían días no escribía. He estado bien ocupada entre el trabajo y haciendo varios proyectos que iré compartiendo con ustedes. En el grupo de las SBS10 ahora mismo tenemos un reto de hacer una tarjetita o pagina con materiales que hayamos comprado y nunca hemos usado. Pues yo decidí que era hora de estrenar este stamp de TAC de las Groovy Girls que le compré a mi amiguita Marirose. Esos stamps me encantan!!! Esas muñequitas son adorables.

It's been a while since my last post. I have been busy at work and creating a few projects I will be sharing with you soon. Sarah from my SBS10 group sends us the challenge to make a card with a stamp set and embellishments that we have never used. Well, I use Groovy Girls from TAC. I bought this set last June and I had never inked it. So, I knew it was perfect for this challenge. As for the embellishment part, I forgot that part and remembered it after I finished the card. I guess I'm going to repeat the challenge, this time following all the instructions...what a punishment!!!!

Fui tagueada por una flaca.......

Que fue tagueada por otra flaca. Sip. Jay me señalo. Las reglas del juego son como sigue:

1- Estudié por tres años diseño de modas en la academia de Carlota Alfaro y me cosí casi toda mi ropa durante más de 15 años.

2- De niña detestaba la escuela y siempre tenía malas notas. De más está decir los castigos que llevé.

3- Pertenecí a un grupo de música y drama en la iglesia. Haciamos musicales cristianos para jóvenes y a la vez socializaba con gente de mi edad en un ambiente sano.

7 - Soy un poco sarcástica...un razgo heredado de mi padre que en los momentos indicados me sirve de tremenda arma de defensa y en los no indicados me mete en cada liiiiioooooo!!!!!!!

UNA CAJITA BONITA ;) A CUTE BOX

Este pasado fin de semana me dediqué a preparar esta cajita inspirada en el tutorial de Andrea Walford . La cajita es super sencilla de hacer y te aseguro que una vez comienzas a preparar las tarjetitas que van dentro es tan divertido que no encuentras como parar.

This past weekend I played with this box inspired by the tutorial on Andrea Walford blog. It's very simple to make but I have to tell you that once you start making the little cards that goes inside you cannot stop. It's a lot of fun.

Dentro de la cajita coloqué tres tarjetas 3x3, una tarjeta estilo "Triangular tri-fold", una tarjetita circular en scallop y un tag en forma de flor que corté con la Cricut. El tutorial para la tarjetita tri-fold lo puedes obtener aqui, esta es una tarjetita bien sencilla pero con un toque diferente y divertido. Me gusta esta cajita pues es un regalito práctico para cualquier ocasión.

On the inside I included three cards size 3" by 3", one triangle tri-fold card, one scallop card and one flower tag that were cut with the Cricut. You can get the triangle tri-fold card tutorial in here. Is very simple and yet very fun and different. I love this box because it makes a nice gift.

Esta tarjetita la hice para el Challenge que Nuestra amiguita Marirose envío al grupo SB Friends. Pueden ver el mismo aqui. Es bien sencilla de hacer y divertida. Me gusta mucho porque termina teniendo dos bolsillos para que puedas colocar una tarjetita y un tag tal y como lo hice aquí.

I made this card for a Challenge my friend Marirose sent to SB Friends. You can see the challenge in here. I liked it a lot, because the envy has two pockets in which you can place a card and a tag as I did in mine.

Esta es la tarjetita que coloqué en el bolsillo principal del sobre.

This is the Tag that goes into the the small pocket.

Me gusta este sobre porque tiene el tamaño ideal para colocar tarjetas de regalos. Con un simple ajuste, fácilmente se puede convertir en un "holder" para cualquier ocasión.

I like this envy because it's ideal for gift cards. With a simple adjustment the card can be turned into a gift card holder and "vualá", you have a great gift for any ocassion.

Mami me pidió que le hiciera dos tarjetas para darle gracias a unas amistades por ayudarla con la boda de mi hermano. Ya en mi familia nadie compra tarjetas. Solo hacen una llamada y allí estoy yo emocionada porque me dan una nueva razón para pasar horas buscando ideas para esa tarjetita perfecta.

My mom asked me to make her a card for two friends who helped her with my brother's wedding. Each time a member of my family needs a card they just call me and asked for a personalized card. This is great for them and for me too because it gives me hours of fun just surfing through the internet and magazines searching for ideas to create a great card.

Para esta usé el set de stamps Expresiones de Spanish Memories y flores Prima. El papel es de una libreta que compré en Wal-Mart.

For this One I used the Expressions Collection from Spanish Memories and Prima flowers. The paper is from a stack I bought at Wal-Mart.

Bueno, ahora a termninar de lavar ropa y preparar mis cosas para una nueva semana llena de trabajo. La parte emocionante son las horas felices aqui en mi cuartito una vez llego por las tardes de trabajar. Hasta luego!!!

Una nueva vida ;) A new life

Hola chicas!!

Desde hacen dos semanas tenia dañado el internet. Estaba desesperada por arreglarlo para poder comunicarme con todas mis compañeras y ver las nuevas creaciones que han hecho. Poco a poco las estaré visitando como de costumbre. Por el momento, gracias a todas las chicas que me han visitado y me han dejado sus comentarios, todos son bien importantes para mi.

Aquí les muestro una tarjetita que mi hermana me pidió para el baby shower de una amiga. La hice con la Cricut y el Cricut Design Studio. Usé cardstock Bazzil para la base crema y DCWV para la cotita rosada. Las imágenes son del cart New Arrival, y A Walk in my Garden. Luego posteo el file para la que lo quiera usar.

My internet was down for two weeks so you can imagine I was desperate to get if fixed so I could see all the wonderful things you are doing. At last I will be able to visit all of you leaving my comments. I like to thank you for all the comments you left on my blog. Each one of it is very important for me and reassures me that this hobby is about family and friendship.

My sister asked me to do a card for her frien'd baby shower. Here is the card I made for her. I used the Cricut and the Design Studio and combined images from A walk in my Garden, New Arrival and George. I used Bazzil for the cream base and DCWV for the rest. Hope you like it.
