DYSU #87 BACK TO SCHOOL

Hello everyone!

I remember that as a child I used to hate so much the back to school period, all that fuzziness just gave me the creeps.  It marked the end of a free life of playing all day and watch TV and the beginning of torture.  I was a very hyperactive girl and having to sit all day in a classroom was my version of hell in earth.  If only I knew those were the best days of my life ;)  Anyway, such a strong feeling cannot be lived without leaving it's mark, so I feel very sympathetic with any child that gets the blues when the back to school is around the corner.  My older siblings were all about their cool new stuff for the school and I just wanted to chew up my books and disappear from the face of the earth.  Trust me my mood was not very easy to deal with those first days of school LOL!!  I remember that my parent's used to give me some really nice gifts to try to dissipate that feeling.  I still feel sorry for them, I really made their lives miserable during those times. 

Anyway, back to why we are here ;)  This week we want to see back to school projects.  Maybe a card, box or a lay-out... you decided!!

For this week project I used an SVG file from SVG Cuts to make this adorable set.  As we read, this set is in the hands of the daughter of a co-worker and it served to brighten up her back to school morning.

CAS BAD WEATHER CARD

Hello!!

This is a card I made using the Clean and Simple sketch # 205.  I found it super cute and fun.  There are a lot of things that cones to my mind like making some tags with it too ;)

For my card I used Lawn's Fawn Partly Cloudy set.  I've had this set for a while and has never inked it so I decided this was the right time to use it.  I stamped the upper layer to make my own DP paper and play in the Lawnscaping challenge #40.

DYSU # 86 FANTASY

Hello!!!

This week theme is what I call a challenge.  But I managed to survive.... 

OK, kind of survive LOL!!!

I kept this card simple because my brain couldn't produce anything for this theme.  I don't like fairies and Halloween gives me the creeps.  So I am quite limited as far as my imagination goes ;)

I made my own version of a modern Dorothy following the yellow brick road, only this time she is walking the yellow flowered path LOL!!!

I found the background image while searching for inspiration at >>Free Great Picture<< .  They have a lot of great images perfect for a quick card.  

You download , print , add your personal touch and off you go with a great almost instant card.

Here is my full card.  It has only the background image, that sweet girl from Anne's Cards for you, some glitter and voilá, a card in less that 30 minutes.  OK, OK... it took more than that but it was easy ;)

Hello!!

I made this card to play with TAW'S Be Inspired Challenge #9.  

Every time I see these colors I remember a song that has been one of my favorites of all times that both Phill Collins and Cindy Lauper sings... True colors.  Love the melody and the wonderful message it has.

Just in case you are wondering how I got rid of the baby tummy that the girl of the stamp has here is a pic of how I stamped the image ;)

Now to my project for this week.  As you saw, our theme is Buttons.  Since I only have like a million of them I decided to make my own instead of using from my stash.  

I made four paper buttons and only stamped a flourish from a very old Fancy Pants stamp set as a background.  The rest is the magic of designer paper....Ohh, and I couldn't resist the urge to stitch a few crosses, it feels like a lifetime since I made some hand stitches to one of my cards.
