LIMPIADOR DE SELLOS CASERO

Hola!!

Buenas tardes!!!!

Hello!!
It's been a while since my last post.  February was a very difficult month for my family and me, but thanks God everything turned out right and we are getting back to our normal routines.  That means crafty time for me yeahhh!!!!!

Have you noticed how fast time is running?  Is spring already arriving? That's great because it is the season where color is coming back into our world. The flowers are blooming, the spring fashion line up has many bold colors going, and it's high time to celebrate
Your Favorite Color. Anything counts here, so we expect lots of entries :)

For this week we have three sponsors:

Winner's Choice of 3 Digis

$10 gift certificate

And now Let's see what I made for this week challenge:

Since it was an entire month of no crafty time I made two cards for this week challenge.  For the first one I used an image from Karen's Doodles  - Bigsby Loves to Paint.  This image goes great with my favorite colors!!  I don't know if you have noticed, but I looove bright and cheerful colors.

For my second card I used a background stamp from PTI and the sentiment is from Paper Smooches.  I like the challenge of making my own patterned paper and think this one turned out great!!

Here are my two cards in all their splendor:

I hope you have a great day and see you at the DYSU challenge blog!!!

A TAWS MORNING

Good morning bloggin friends!!

This is just a quick post to show you three cards I made using TAW's stamps.  Between my "real life" job, DT duties, housework duties and all the duties we all have I have been squeezing moments to keep playing with my stamps.  Ohh, and don't forget to visit Alison's store to see the new additions for February.  They are great!!  I am waiting for my next pay check o buy more of these cuties ;)

My first two cards are made with Priceless Joy.
This is a baby set, but as you see you can use it for any type of card.

My third card for today was made using Kitchen Gadgets.  I love that Blender!!!!

I added some clear distress crackle paint to the glass.  I should have used a permanent marker like a Copic to paint the hearts to avoid the ink to bleed, but I still love the results!!

I hope you have a great Monday.  Mine will be a hard day at work but still it will be great.  Hope my cards have inspired you to create something nice and don't forget to pay a visit to Alison.
Can't wait to see what she has for us on March!!!!

Hugs,

Naomy's Blog Candy

Hi!!

Sorry for the double post today.  But I'm sure as soon you know the reason for this second one you are going to forgive me ;)

My Friend Naomy is celebrating the first anniversary of her blog.  And for that reason she is having a great giveaway, this girl really knows how to create a fun package!!

So I invite you to go to her blog Paper Bag Princess and participate.  You could even end up being inspired by her great cards ;)

A CELEBRATION CAS SET

Hi blogger friends,

Today I have been extremely busy watching TV and making cards LOL!  OK, I admit that may not be the most hardest work on the face of the earth but taking into consideration that tomorrow starts a new week full of deadlines and a full workload, having a leisure day was almost a moral obligation.  I still need to wash the dishes and clean the kitchen before going to bed, but first things first...right?

I want to share with you a set of 4 cards I made for today's challenge at Capture the Moment.  PTI is celebrating their 5th year anniversary and for the next 10 days or so they are going to have challenges and lots of fun stuff going on at their blog.

This time I decided to use as a source of inspiration this project from Maile Belles.  Who would guess I'll pick a  project full of bright colors as an inspiration to make mine ;)  I was attracted by the simplicity of the sketch.  I used four background sets from PTI and the Think Big Favorites #7.

This is my set:

Hope you have a good night sleep!!

YOU COLOR MY WORLD

Hola!

Hi!!

A few week ago I came across this picture in Pinterest.  I knew immediately that I needed to make a card using it as a source of inspiration.  I went to my reader to look for a sketch to use as a starting point for my card.  I found it at Freshly Made Sketches.  I decided to use a file from SVG Cuts – Townhouse Window SVG Mini Pack and of course it was time to ink my new Paper Smooches Vogue Abode Set.  The file from SVG Cuts was one of the first I bought from that company and I hardly use it… but, Isn’t it great to have the necessary tools when you want to make a project?

This time I challenged myself to create a short video describing my creative process.  It’s my first video ever, so please be kind LOL!

For this year I have challenged myself to make a few videos, tutorials and share cut files created by me.  It’s time I give back a little of the wonderful things I have received from Blogland.

I hope you like my card and that you like the video as much as I do ;)

Aquí está la tarjeta completa!! / Here is the complete card!!

Y aquí el video ;)  /  And here the video ;)

This week I got to play with an image from Dearie Dolls named Valentine Arbor.  Love this image because it requires to make a complete scene, and you know how much I love to do sponging with my Distress Inks!!  I also used watercolor and Prismacolor pencils to color the image.  This is my first experience with Prismacolors and I love these pencils!!  I see more colors added to my stash in a near future :)

I really don't know what is happening to my camera lately that is not giving me good quality photos.  Still I finally got one that looks relatively good.

ONE OF A KIND

Hola amiguitas!!

Hello blogger friends!!

Today’s card was inspired by Julie’s day 10 video on the CAS class I’ve been taking at Online Class.  I am loving this negative die cutting thing!!  It’s a great way to stretch our papers.  I used my digital cutter and prepare the file since I didn’t have a die with the proper dimension for this idea.
I hope you like it!!

MY FIRST KNK CREATION

Hola!!

Hi!
Over the last weekend  Ifinally was able to establish communication between my KNK cutter and the computer.   I started practicing with the pen to get acquaintance with the basic setups.  Yesterday I decided it was time to start playing with the blade and after wasting a few cardstocks I was able to cut this card set.  I made it to continue practicing for the Clean and Simple Cards class I am taking at the Online Classes site.  I am amazed at the quality of the cuts of this machine, even though I am still learning how to make the proper setups for each type of paper.  After I master paper, my next move is to cut felt and balsa wood.  So I will keep you updated on my progress with the machine.  For the moment here is my first set made with it.

Tools:
- KNK Maxx
- Stampin Up Polka Dot embossing plate
- Big Shot
- Square punch to make the banner end.

Misc. ingredients:
- Baker's twine from my stash.
- Mounting tape.
- Scraps of solid colors cardstock.

NEGATIVE DIE CUTTING IS A POSITIVE THING ;)

Hi!!

Yesterday I was browsing blogs and I decided to play with the challenge #73 at the Case Study Blog.  Negative die cutting is starting to be one of my favorite’s things to do.  It helps me maximize the use of my paper… and you know how important that is!!!  ;)

Here is the CAS card I made.  I made it simple to keep practicing with CAS cards.

This is the inside of the card ;)

Now, I have to start working with my design team duties wohoo!!!

Thanks for the visit and I hope you have a happy Sunday!!
