Stamp-a-faire Tie-Dye Techniques

Stamp-a-faire Tie-Dye Techniques

Rainbow-Badge

I was more than happy when I returned home this afternoon because I found that even though I had to get out to run some errands today I could play in the Papertrey Ink’s Stamp-a-faire 2012.  Since I still have a few things to do today I looked for the easiest challenge for me.  I was able to get out of the kitchen (I have guests tomorrow ) and kame this card using the Copics Tie Dye technique showcased in Nichole's video >>Here<<
The-Challenge
Create a tie-dye background using one of the techniques showcased.
So, I watched the video, grab five of my favorite colors and draw circles like a mad mad woman.  After that I used rubbing alcohol and a brush and applied alcohol again like a mad mad woman.  Since mad women don't like to wait I turned on my heat gun and dried the image.  And something crazy happened.... obvious, I was behaving like a mad woman!!!  I liked the reversed side better!!!  Here is the proof:

Front:

Reverse:

Since I couldn't trust my sanity I stamped both versions..
you know, just to be sure.

Front:

Reverse:

Still liked better the reversed side.  So I went to my art manager and resident shrink (my hubby) and asked for his opinion.  He confirmed I am sane!!!
He liked the reverse side better too!!

So here is my card
Sorry the glue on the rhinestones shows, it will dry clear.
I couln't wait, I have to make a lasagna for my guests.

Tomorrow I will try some other techniques.  I am waiting for the home-made embellishments challenge.  Love them!!

Hugs!!
