Hoy es un jueves súper especial!!  Y es porque es mi primera entrada como parte del design team de Do You Stack Up.  Estoy más que emocionada con esta nueva aventura en mi vida pues me obliga a trabajar con cosas nuevas y me reta a trabajar con elementos específicos en lugar de lo que simplemente me venga en ganas.

 El reto de hoy consiste en hacer una tarjeta en la que uses chipboard.  A mi simplemente me encanta este material!    Lo encuentro súper versátil pues puedes hacer muchas cosas diferentes con el.

 

Today is a very special Thursday since it’s my first entry as a DT member of Do You Stack Up.  I am feeling very excited with this new adventure that for sure is challenging me to work with new things and try to work with specific things instead on what just comes to my mind.  

Today’s Challenge consists of using chipboard on your card.  I love this material!  I find it very versatile and there is so much you can do wit it.

Para la tarjeta de hoy decidí simplemente cubrir el marcho con cartoncillo y añadir unos detalles para no robarle el show a la imagen tan bella de Lili of the Valley con la que me tocó trabajar.  Se llama Happy Times.  La encuentro super bella y en verdad me diverti mucho preparando la tarjeta.

For today’s card I decided to just cover the chipboard grame with cardstock and add some details because I wanted the image from Lili of the Valley to be the center of attention.  This super cute  images is Happy Times, I had so much fun preparing my card!

  

La imagen la pinte con mis Copics.  Al mueble le añadí tissue paper y le di textura con un “Embossing plate”.  Los botoncitos los hice con nudos franceses pues ya saben que me encanta añadirle estos detallitos a mis tarjetas.  

I colored the image with my Copics.  To the sofa I added some tissue paper and embossed it with a canvas plate to add some texture.  For the buttons I used french knots, I just love to add these little details to my cards!

Hoy hice estar tarjetita para el challenge de Moxie Fab. No es exactamente mi estilo, pero me quise aventurar con esta combinacion de colores que aunque encuentro linda casi nunca utilizo. Ahora voy a ver TV con Miguel un rato antes de la Pelea de Cotto.

MY FIRST VINTAGE CARD

Desde hace tiempito estaba ansiando hacer una tarjeta con un "Vintage Santa" asi que aqui les comparto mi primera tarjetita antigua. Esta tarjeta la hice para el reto #24 del blog Winter Wonderland.

It's been a while since I wanted to play with a vintage Santa. Here is my very first vintage card. I made this card for the Winter Wonderland sketch challenge #24. Hope you like it.

Hoy se ha estado celebrando el día mundial de la tarjetearía. Me he escapado de los quehaceres de la casa para sentarme ha preparar aunque sea uno de los miles de retos y actividades que hay hoy circulando por todo el internet. Aquí les muestro una mini tarjeta que hice para el reto de la compañía Unity en Splitcoaststampers. Este tamaño de tarjeta está gustando cada vez más. ¡Bueno, espero que se sigan divirtiendo!

Today we are celebrating WCMD. I have taken a break from my house duties to participate in Unity’s challenge at Splitcoaststampers. It’s a mini card of 3X3. Lately I have been working a lot on these mini cards and I am loving them more each time. Have a good night and keep having fun!

A QUICK POST

Hola chicas. He estado perdida estos pasados días. Estruve trabajando en unos mini álbumes que les mostraré más adelante. Por el momento les cuento que me estoy entreteniendo muchísimo tomando un curso básico de edición de fotografías con Jessica Sprague. En lo poco que llevo, he aprendido mucho. Aquí les muestro un ejemplo de la foto que le tomé a una de las tarjetitas que preparé para mi papá y mi suegro para el día de los padres.

Ok OK se que me falta mucho para llegar a ser una buena fotógrafa aficionada, pero vamos!! por algo se empieza. Yo estoy super animada a seguir aprendiendo técnicas para editar fotos. Pienso que muchas veces por más que me esmero en hacer un Lay Out super lindo, cuando llego a la parte de las fotos me desanima porque carecen de vida, por eso es que nunca le presto mucha atención al SB. Creo que soy un poco perfeccionista y en muchas ocasiones me exijo demasiado a mi misma. Así que estoy descubriendo un nuevo mundo que estaba a mi dispocisión pero que nunca le había prestado la debida atención.

Bueno y para no marearlas más, las dejo con la segunda tarjeta de padres que hice. Las quería mostrar antes, pero no encontraba el cable de mi cámara que mal me va!!!

Anoche hice la tarjetita del Make a Card Monday de Kristina Werner. Me encanta su blog, sobre todo sus videos que son super divertidos y con una musica que me pone a bailar. Ultimamente estoy obsecionada con las tarjetitas 3X3. Me encantan para notitas de agradecimiento. Creo que es el tamaño perfecto para una notita rápida y simple. Despues de todo lo que quiero es dar gracias, no escribir una obra literaria.

Para variar ;) utilizé mi Cricut y el programa SCAL para cortar las letras. Usé glitter y el Heat & Stick powder de SU. Este producto es un éxito para pegar glitter, me encanta!! Desde que lo descubrí ahora le quiero poner glitter a todo :()

Hi!! Last night I finished this little card following the Make a Card Monday tutorial of Kristina Werner. I love her site and the fun videos with music that makes me dance in my chair. I am hooked with 3X3 cards. I think they are the perfect size quick thank you note. After all I just want to give thanks, not write a short story ;) As usual, I used my Cricut and SCAL to cut the letters. I used glitter and the heat and stick powder from SU. I love this product, since I discover it I want to use glitter all the time :() Well, I hope you have a great day!!!

FELICIDADES PAPI!!!

Acabo de terminar la tarjeta que le voy a entregar mañana a papi. Me siento super cansada porque el calor me tiene agobiada pero no me quería retirar a dormir sin antes subir la tarjetita.

La hice con mucho esmero porque es para mi papito bello. A la verdad es que no importan cuantas canas yo pueda tener, las arrugas que me hayan salido y los chichos que no perdonan, para ese señor yo sigo siendo su nena y el sigue siendo mi papito bello.

Le doy tantas gracias a Dios porque me regaló un padre ejemplar, y aunque lo celebro a diario y semanalmente visito a mis padres para cenar, pues mañana aprovecho para regalarle un poco de mi por medio se esta tarjetita.

I just finished this card for my dad. I feel very tired, this heat is killing me I feel like I am melting, and the humidity is horrible....you don't want to see my hair :()

I put a lot of effort in this one since it is for my "papito bello". I don't care how old I may get, I'm still daddy's girl. I thank God everyday for my dad. I wanted to give him a piece of me by making this card.

UN FUERTE ABRAZO ;) A BIG HUG

Aqui estoy a las 4:30AM sin poder dormir. Estoy comenzando mis vacaciones enferma y dando vueltas en la cama pensando como solucionar ciertos asuntos relacionados al trabajo. Decidí levantarme y hacer algo que me despeje en lo que me vuelve el sueño. sto siempre me funciona. Así que terminé esta tarjetita que hice siguiendo el nuevo workshop de Nancy. A la verdad es que me encanta el estilo de ella. El cambio que hice fue que alteré las letras. Las pinté con acrílico, luego las etampé y les di color en ciertas areas. Luego utilizé Crackle Accents de Inkssentials para darles brillo y mayor dimension. No estoy segura si me gusta el resultado final pero por lo menos no está desastroso y me divertí en el proceso.

Here I am at 4:30AM unable to sleep. I can't believe I am starting my vacations sick as a dog. arrrghh!! Today I am going to the doctor because I refuse to spend my free time in bed thinking about work and how I can solve a few things there. Anyway, I decided to get up and make something here to clear my mind until I get sleepy again which always works for me. I finished this card following Nancy's new workshop. I love her style; it's so happy and bright. I altered the chipboard letters by painting them with acrylic paint, and then I stamped the flowers and colored some areas. To give them a glossy finish I used Crackle Accents from Inkssentials. I'm not sure like the way it turned out, but I had lots of fun. Thanks Nancy for this great workshop.

Hola, hacían días no escribía. He estado bien ajoradita entre el trabajo y unos proyectos con los que me había comprometido. Esta mañana necesitaba hacer dos trajetitas rápiditas para unas amigas que me las pidieron así que decidí combinar los diseños de dos chicas a las que admiro mucho Jessica y Beatriz Jennings. Me encantan las cosas que ellas hacen, así que decidí usarlas como ispiración para crear mi versión combinada de sus trabajos. Disculpen que la foto no se ve muy bien, la luz aqui no es muy buena.

Hi, it's been a while since my last post. I have been very busy at my work and a few projects I was working on. Later I will post them. For now, I want to share a quick card I made for two friends who asked me to make them a card for her boyfriends. I used as my inspiration the work of two women whose work I admire a lot Jessica and Beatriz Jennings. Here is my combined version of their creations. Sorry for the photo, the light in here is not very good.
