A Beautiful Bride

Aquí les muestro otra tarjeta que hice para el reto de Caardvarks. Corte la muñequita utilizando un file de Myscrapchick.com. Repuje el traje utilizando dos folders diferentes para darle más dimensión y textura. Luego, le rocíe Glimmer Mist en perla para que tuviera brillo. No le puse sentimiento afuera pues quería que resaltara la novia y no quería que la tarjeta se fuera a sobrecargar demasiado.

Here I show another card made for the Caardvarks Challenge. I cut the bride using a file from Myscrapchick.com. I used two different embossing folders for the dress in order to give it more texture and dimension. Then, I sprayed some Glimmer Mist in Pearl color to give shine to the dress. I didn’t add a quote to the front of the card since I wanted the bride to be the focal point and to avoid distraction from it.

Forever and Always

Buenos días - Hi

Hoy estoy en mi casita y mientras lavo la ropa estoy terminando unos cuantos retos que tenía empezados. Así que hoy van a ver dos o tres entradas diferentes ya que cada reto lo voy a estar mostrando en su propia entrada. Dicho esto ahora pasamos a la parte que nos gusta.

Today I am here in my home doing laundry and finishing a few challenges. I will be posting them separately in order to submit them in an organized way.

La combinación de colores del reto de esta semana me pareció perfecta para una tarjeta de bodas. Dado que también estoy participando en el reto de Caardvarks pues que mejor cosa que usar esta fuente de inspiración para seguir creando tarjetas de boda. Aqui esta mi tarjeta.

The color combination immediately made me think about a wedding card. Since I am also submitting cards for the challenge at Caardvarks blog, I decided I was going to double play with this inspiration. Here is my card.

Para esta tarjeta comencé estampando unos Damascos con tinta blanca sobre el papel azul. Luego estampe en los cuadros verdes los bordes. La flor la corte utilizando SCAL, mi Cricut y un file de svguts.com. Una vez cortada la flor use PearlEx en tono perlado para cubrir darle el brillo a la flor. Para hacerlo hice una mezcla de agua, PearlEx y gum arabic que es un tipo de fijador o pegamento. Luego pegué la flor sobre un circulo de scallops que corté utilizando un Nestability y le puse glitter azul en el borde.

I started stamping a damask over the whole front of the card with White ink. Then I stamped in green a damask border on each of the little squares. I cut the flower using my Cricut, SCAL and a file from svgcuts.com. After the flower was cut, I painted it with PearlEx using a solution of water, gum Arabic and PearlEx. This gave a wonderful shine to the flower. I adhere the flower to a scalloped circle that I cut using a Nestability and used blue glitter for the border.

En el interior imprimí el mensaje y estampé los bordes para darle continuidad a la tarjeta. Encontré este site donde puedes encontrar mensajes para el interior de tus tarjetas. Me parece súper práctico ya que hay muchas veces en las que necesitas algo que colocar en una postal y la inspiración no llega.

I found a nice quote at this site and printed it out and stamped the same corner as in the front squares to give a nice finishing touch to the inside of the card.

Mi ultima tarjeta es la de mi esposo. Pinté el gatito inspirada en mi nena Merengue. Le va a encantar pues el es locura con esta nena, así que por lo menos se que me voy a la segura.

I'm in Pieces Challenge

Hola,

Al fin me puedo sentar en mi cuarto a trabajar varios retos que quiero completar. Primero en la mañana estuve limpiando, gracias a Dios ya eso esta hecho. Solo me falta llavar ropa lo cual estaré haciendo mañana mientras veo las olimpiadas con Miguel.

Para empezar, aquí les muestro varias tarjetas que prepare para el reto que nos lanzo Betsy Veldman. Tengo que admitir que fue bien fácil para mi ya que me encanta hacer “paper piecing” ya sea utilizando mi Cricut o usando stamps y cortando las imágenes para usarlas en mi diseño. Aquí les muestro tres tarjetas que trabaje. Dos de ellas usando stamps y una con un file de MyScrapchick.com el cual corte con la Cricut y SCAL.

I can finally sit and relax with my papers and stamps after cleaning the house. I only have left the laundry which will be done tomorrow while watching the Olympics with my DH.

I am showing in this post three cards I made for the Challenge that Betsy Veldman has on her blog. I have to admit this one was very easy for me since I love to work with paper piecing using either my Cricut or stamps and cutting the image. Of the three cards two were made using stamps and one using a file from Myscrapchick.com and my Cricut and SCAL.

Tuesday Trigger: You've Been Pinked

Hola!

Ayer estuve trabajando con una tarjeta rosada…eso es inusual en mi. Pero en el blog Moxie Fab el reto de este martes es crear una tarjeta que tenga mucho rosa. Así que mirando la fotografía en la que te debes inspirar rápido recordé esta imagen digital ya que es un ratoncito goloso que disfruta de un divino bizcochito, un tipo suertudo de no tener diabetes.

Yesterday I worked with a lot of Pink. That is because this week’s Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab is a photo with lots of pink. I decided to go with a digital stamp and this one is great because the little mouse seems so happy eating his cake, lucky him he’s not diabetic.





Utilizando mis Nestabilities abrí una ventana a la base de la tarjeta pues pensé que era buena idea usar la imagen para decorar tanto el interior como el exterior de la tarjeta.

I used my Nesties to open a Windows on the card base. I thought it would be a nice idea to use the main image to decorate both the outside and interior of the card.



Para la capa de frosting utilice Sparkly Fluff, me encanta el look y la dimensión que le dio.

For the frosting, I used Sparkly Fluff; I love the dimension and the look it gave to the cake.



Me siento tan feliz que es viernes, este fin de semana me quiero poner al día en unos cuantos retos y quiero trabajar en tarjetas para cumpleaños.

I’m so happy today is Friday, this weekend I am planning on working in a few challenges and making lots of B-day cards.

A wedding Card

En estos días he estado bien activa porque estoy participando de varios retos y haciendo par de cositas que tengo en mente. Para el reto de hoy en Papertrey, hay que hacer una tarjeta utilizando cualquiera de los colores combos que ellos tienen disponibles. Yo escogí el de Betsy, me encanto para hacer una tarjetita de bodas. Decidí hacer la tarjeta de bodas para participar también en el Challenge de Cardvarks donde te retan a crear tarjetas de boda. El premio seria salir publicado en la revista Cards…suena interesante verdad?

Aquí esta mi tarjeta, para la misma utilicé un stamp digital de Pink Peticoat, glitter, rhinestones, cintas, pintura acrílica botones mi Cricut con un file de SCAL y por supuesto mis nuevos Copics.

WOW! These past days have been very active since I’ve been participating in Papertrey anniversary challenges. Today’s challenge is to create a card using one of the color combos available. I decided to use for this card Betsy’s combo. I liked it a lot for the wedding card I was planning to make. I am also posting this card over at the Cardvarks challenges which consist of making a wedding card..The prize? Being published in Cards magazine isn’t that enough motivation??

So here is my card, to make the base and frame I used my Cricut, and the image is a digital stamp from Pink Petticoat. I also used glitter, rhinestones, buttons, ribbon and acrylic paint.

Paper Trey continues with her 3rd birthday celebration. Hoy trabaje esta tarjeta usando una imagen digital de la tienda Sassy Cheryl’s. Me encantan las imágenes de las muñequitas porque se ven súper tiernas y alegres. Para la tarjeta utilice el sketch 153 de Card Positioning System. La misma la dibuje usando mis nuevos Copics, que cada día me gustan más.

This morning I dedicated myself to make this card using a digital stamp from Sassy Cheryl’s. I love the images in this store since they are very cute and full of happiness and energy. For the card, I used the sketch 153 from card Positioning System. I painted it using my new Copics, I love them!!

Hola,

Aquí sigo jugando con los retos de Papertrey Ink. Hoy el mismo consiste de preparar una tarjeta usando la técnica de “Resist”. Aquí esta mi tarjeta por dentro y por fuera. Utilicé para la misma los Distress Inks de Tim Holtz. Me encantan esas tintas, son súper versátiles.

Que emoción, ya hoy es viernes, el fin de una dura semana de trabajo pero el comienzo del fin de semana. Yo pienso irme de paseo con mi esposo ya que llevaba varios fines de semanas corridos trabajando y pues este me lo va a dedicar a mí.

Here I am again playing with the Papertrey anniversary activities. Today’s challenge was to create a card using the “Resist Technique”. I used Tim Holtz distress inks for it. Love those inks!

Here is my card; I decorated the inside too with a scrap of paper I used for the front. Hope you like it!

Les prometo que este es mi ultima entrada para el día de hoy. Es que estoy participando en el challenge de Papertrey Ink como celebración de su tercer aniversario. Hoy me levante temprano y relajada pensando que el reto vencía hoy en la noche, pero nooo era por la mañana. Así que me tuve que poner las pilas para poderlo terminar. Sin tienen la paciencia de ver todas las entradas de hoy se podrán dar cuenta de que estaba un poco estresada con el factor tiempo, pero la buena noticia es que lo logre. No importa si gano o no, lo importante es el sentimiento de satisfacción que tengo de haber logrado esta meta que aunque parezca pequeña me ocasiona gran alegría.

Pero no las aburro más con mis cosas. Espero que tengan un lindo día.

I think my time has run out for making cards to enter in the contest. I made this last one using Niki Estes image. I tried to cut the image using my Nestabilities but the dies where not cooperating with me so I ended up using a scalloped punch. I think I can improve this card since I really love the image and the DP I used is very appropriate for it.

Una tarjeta para mi Madre

Hola!

El día de ayer (28 de enero) mi bella madre cumplió anos. Así que le hice esta tarjetita y para ella utilicé por primera vez una imagen de Magnolias y los Copics. Me encanta como pintan pero Ufff!! Me falta un mundo por aprender. Pero pienso que para ser la primera vez pues por lo menos la muñeca no se ve tan mal. Lo importante…a mami le encanto así que con eso quede mas que complacida.

Para la tarjeta utilize el sketch# 87 de Friday Sketchers.

Yesterday (Jan 28) was my mother’s b-day. Si I made her this card using for the first time a Magnolia image and my new Copics. I love the feel of those makers but still need to learn a lot about them. I think that being my first time the ending result was nice. The important thing is that my mother loved it, she is a much unbiased judge…believe me!!

For the card I used the sketch #87 from Friday Sketchers.

UNA TARJETA POR LA AMISTAD

Acabo de preparar esta tarjetita para el reto #72 de Esty Inspired Challenge. El reto consiste en inspirar tu tarjeta en una pieza de la colección de Sweetie Pie Tutus. Con tantas bebitas hermosas fue difícil la selección pero finalmente escogí esta porque ese girasol me alegro la mañana. El girasol lo hice utilizando el programa SCAL y el file para la flor lo compre en SVG Cuts. Luego de montada la flor le rocíe un poco de Glimmer Mist para que tuviera un toque de brillo e hiciera armonía con el lazo en chiffon.

I just finished this card for the Etsy Inspired Challenge #72. The challenge consisted of creating a card inspired by any item at Sweetie Pie Tutus. It was a hard decision with all those cute babies, but finally the Sunflower caught my full attention. I cut the flower With SCAL and a file I bought from SVG Cuts. After the flower was finished, I sprayed some glimmer mist to give it a touch of shine.

SUPER SKETCHY SUNDAY DAY 315

Hoy estoy trabajando con varios retos mientras me ocupo de lavar ropa y cocinar. Las voy a estar añadiendo en entradas separadas porque son para diferentes blogs así que me disculpan las múltiples entradas del día de hoy.

Today I am working on several challenges while doing the laundry and other boring stuff ;).

I will be adding them on separate posts since they are for different blogs, so please forgive my multiple posts today.

La primera tarjeta es el del blog Super Sketchy Sunday. Como saben me encantan los sketches. Para mi es la mejor forma de obtener inspiración. Esta tarjeta la deje en blanco porque es de las que me gusta guardar así y colocarle el sentimiento según lo necesite. Lo pienso colocar como un tag amarrado al lazo.

The first one is from Super Sketchy Sunday. I love sketches, for me they are the best source of inspiration. I didn’t place any sentiment for the moment. I find useful to have blank cards and adding the message as needed. When the time comes, I will place the sentiment in a tag attached to the bow.
