More on editing my photos

Hola,

Here I continue with my photo editing class at Jessica Sprague. I just completed lesson number 2 and decided to apply my new knowledge on a photo of me at the Brooklyn Bridge. When I first opened the photo, I though it didn't need any help, to my eyes it was great, but I needed the practice. WOW, I love the results!! Here are the before and after pictures......

Before....

and after...

¿Don't you think is a great change? I believe that with this new knowledge I have on how to make my photos more vivid, I am going to become more motivated to start scrapbooking again. I can't wait to see what's next.

Now off to work see you!!

A QUICK POST

Hola chicas. He estado perdida estos pasados días.

Color Inspiration #53

Hola!

En estos día he estado haciendo varias cositas aunque no he podido subirlas aqui.

I have been working with a few projects these days but I have not find the time to upload them. Today, I felt like trying Kristina's color challenge. For me, the color challenges is very hard to do since usually that is the last thing I choose when making a card or a project. I use to start with the sketch, then the elements and last I pick the design paper and matching colors. So when I work with a color challenge I am turning upside down my creation process.

Today I wanted to really challenge myself. I like how my card turned out. Hope you like it too!!

LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE...

Vive, rie, ama... me encanta esa frase.

I love that quote. I made this card thinking how we sometimes forget to see and enjoy our blessings while we are consumed with our daily routines. At the beginning of a new week, I wanted to create something that evokes happiness and brings me energy and a smile.

Hope you have a wonderful week!!

Happy B-Day Friend ;)

Hola!

Hi,

Today I'm sharing a card made for a friend's birthday. I used the Cricut Wild Card cart to cut the card and envelope, for the cupcake I used SCAL. I love the Wild Card cart since it has a lot of great card shapes; I specially love the basic ones since they can be adapted to any theme.

When I started in this hobby I never paid attention to the envelope. Now, I think that it is a fundamental part of the card and I love to decorate them as well. Sometimes I use transparent envelopes because after reading the card you can display it without running the chance of ruining it.

Well, I hope you have a great day. Thanks for stopping by!!

...NOW I LIKE IT ;)

Hola!!

Hi!!

It's been a long time since my last post. But there is no better moment to start again but the celebration of mother's day. Last night I was making a card and after finishing it I wasn't completely sure that I liked it. After overcoming the temptation of throwing it away, I went to sleep with the purpose of fix it in the morning. I wake up very early and draw a heart with wings in Inkscape and create a file to cut the heart with my Cricut. I love the results!!!

Aquí está la tarjeta original...
Here is the original card...

Y aqui está la misma tarjeta arreglada...
And here is the same card enhanced...

Well, I hope you liked it. I will come back tomorrow with more cards for Mother's day.

Reto de Nancy ;) Nancy's Challenge

Hola!!

It’s been a few days since my last post. I had a few situations that required my immediate attention. Anyhow, I managed to work on a few things I want to share with you today.

The first one is a card I created for Nancy’s workshop and challenge. I love her style!! The way she uses circles and flowers, two of my favorite shapes is amazing. That’s why when I read her post I couldn’t resist the urge to grab my papers, and complete the workshop.

Thanks Nancy!! Hope you like my card.

Recipe:

BG design paper - Offbeat collection (loooove this collection)
Prima flowers
SU! cardstock in kiwi kiss and whisper white
Stazon ink - timber brown
misc: rhinestones, buttom, safety pins, floss, staples & Liquid pearls.

The second one is also inpired by this post on Nancy's blog. Nancy, can you feel I'm stalking you?? ;) A friend asked me for a gift card holder for a sweet 15 birthday party. Since I didn't have much time, I decided to adapt the card as a holder. I love the results!!

Recipe:
SU! cardstock - whisper white
Dream Steet patterned paper can't remember the collection
Inkadinkadoo butterfly stamp
Zig markers
Pearl Glimmer Mist
Crackle medium for the butterfly
SU! flower punch
Misc: Buttom; staples, floss

I made this last ones with scraps I had on my table. I didn't put any sentiment so I can personalize it the moment I need to use it. I love making generic cards for my stash, it gives me more flexibility for their use.

Dream Steet patterned paper can't remember the collection

Misc: Buttom; staples, floss, ribbon scraps

This is all for now. Now off to make a few more challenges ;) and the laundry :( See you soon!!

**BLOG CANDY** Con mis propias manos ;) With my Own Hands

Gracias!!

My friend Daly has this RAK in her blog which I loved instantly. Here are the rules:

I will make something special with my own hands to the first 5 people who leave a comment in this entry. It may be a card, lay-out, box well anything as long as I made it myself.

Here are the constraints:
1- You may or may not like what I send you, but remember it was made with love.
2- What I send is only for you.
3- I will send it at any moment in this year.
4- As I said it could be anything made by me.
5- It must ne something original so you may received a “crazy” item…don’t worry, I promise you will love it.
6- If you decide to be one of the first 5, you must post this game on your blog and give your art to 5 people in return.
7- As soon as you receive my gift you must post it on your blog so everybody can see what I sent you.

If you are one of the first 5, please leave me your e-mail address so I can communicate with you.

Thanks!!

Gracias de Corazón ;) Thanks from my heart

Hola Chicas!!

Here is my submission for today's inspirational challenge at Splitcoastampers. This was my source of inspiration. I created the circular text using Daly's tutorial on how to make a circular text in word.

For this card I used a sequin and a brad. I cut the damask border using my Cricut and Scal, How strange is that? LOL ;)

I saw another challenge so soon I will post it in here.

Bye!!

Fui Tagueada ;)

Here I am again this time closing what in my opinion was a perfect weekend. Here in my home creating a lot of cards and projects. Today's challenge at Splitcoaststampers was to create a card using a template they provided. Since I cannot do anything without my Cricut, I created a file in SCAL to cut it and adapt the size of the box more easily. Here are the two boxes I made.

Hope you like them ;)

For this one I used the stamp Flower Fluffles from Strampendous. I love that cat!!

For this one, I also used a file I created with SCAL for the bird, leaves and the birdhouse.

Puedes darle download a la cajita aqui:

You can download the box here:

Un Bizcochito y Mi Primer Tutorial ;) A Cupcake and My First Tutorial

That's what I want to eat right now, since I can't I invested some time in creating this card which I cased from this post of Beatriz Jennings. I love her blog, but usually find her cards very difficult to case. Since I loved this one so much I invested some time and was quite pleased with the results.

To make the border of the cupcake base, I used my Cricut (of course) and two small circle punches. Since I don't have the Martha Steart's border punch that was used in the original card, I improvised with what I had. After today, I don't think I want to buy that punch anymore LOL!!

OK, this time I'm including a little tutorial on how I make the cupcake cup. I cut the cup with a file I created in CDS using George Cart. I can't live without this cart!! Once you cut the cup it should look like this.

Luego recorta los bordes de la tasita.
Trim the borders of the cup.

Now you are going to trace two parallels lines which are going to serve as your guide to make the holes straight.

First you are going to punch the smaller circles and then the bigger ones.

And your cup is done!!

Thanks for your visit. If you are interested in the file, please leave a comment with your e-mail address.

Bye!!
